Boomer Field

Our flying field, Boomer Field, has a paved runway that runs north and south.  There is electrical power and water available, covered sun shade, a heated Flight Shack, and a control tower.  A port-a-potty is on site.  We are continuing to improve Boomer Field.   It is large enough to fly the giant scale planes and we can fly year round if you dress for the weather.  We are in the heart of prime Oklahoma farm land and wheat is the big money maker, land is very hard to come obtain.    After losing our field (of 35+ years) east of town in June 2012,  we were fortunate enough to acquire a new site quickly.  The work required seemed just overwhelming.  Check out the Boomer Field page, it has the construction progress as it happened.    As you can see our members took a site with knee high grass & so many trees and made it a flying site in less than four months.
